Frequently Asked Questions

Are you accepting custom orders?

Custom orders are accepted on a basis of several factors. Orders must fall within my jewelry style and a non-refundable deposit for each custom must be made in order to reserve your spot. I try to make the process as fair for all as possible. I am a one-woman show, and unfortunately cannot take on every custom request.


Where can I buy your jewelry?

You can find my work here on my website, and on my Instagram (@salt_and_bone). I am not currently selling through any stores or boutiques.

What is Made to Order?

I have a section on the site for made to order pieces. These pieces I make as they are ordered, and production for these pieces usually takes about 3-6 weeks. In certain circumstances, made to order work can be put in as a rush order, assuming that I have the time and ability to accommodate. Rush order fees would apply.

Is the piece I saw on Instagram available for purchase?

Unless it states in the post that the piece is “available”, it is already claimed.

Can you teach me to metalsmith?

I am not currently teaching or taking students to learn metalsmithing.


Store Policies

Returns

Returns are only accepted on a case-by-case basis. Please fill out the contact form on the website to discuss your reason for return. S&B does not accept returns on damaged or broken pieces. Shipping on all returns are the responsibility of the buyer.

Repairs

If a piece I have hand-crafted needs repairing, I will do my best to work with you to breathe life back into your piece. However, I cannot accommodate all repairs, nor do I do any resizing. Please contact me if you feel your repair falls within these confines! I very rarely do repairs on jewelry I did not make myself.


Shipping

All jewelry and merchandise orders are shipped through USPS First Class or Priority shipping. If you have a specific shipping request or inquiry, please contact me through the form on the contact page.
